This Trouble Shooting guide will help assist you on the “Low Water” error you have received on your controller. This code means that the generator does not sense that there is water in the tank.
Here are the steps you’ll need to take to try to rectify this issue.
TURN OFF the Power to the Generator
1. Check to make sure there is water going to the unit
- Shut off the main water supply to the generator
- Disconnect the steal braided hose on the generator side

- Make sure to have a pail ready and insert the steal braided hose end into the pail
- Slowly open the main water supply to make sure water is actually coming out of the main line
If there is NO water coming out of the main line stop here. Shut off the main water supply to the generator and please have your main water supply checked and fixed by qualified and licensed plumber.
If there is water coming out please proceed to Step 2.2. Check your inline debris screen and clean it if necessary- Check your inline debris screen that sits directly inside of the water inlet. Make sure this is clear of any debris or obstructions that might cause a blockage.
- Reconnect the steal braided hose to the water inlet on to the generator.
- Turn the water back on to the generator. Listen for running water going into the tank.
If you DO NOT hear water filling the tank, it could indicate that the Water Feeder assembly may be clogged and will need to be cleaned or replaced. Please click on Submit a request.If you did hear water filling the tank, once the tank is full, we suggest you attempt a Power Flush Cycle. - Make sure to have a pail ready and insert the steal braided hose end into the pail
