There are two options to connect the ThermaTouch to an internet connection:
- Wi-Fi
- Wired Ethernet
1. Wi-Fi
Step 1
Touch the Settings icon, then touch Network
Step 2
Go to Wi-Fi Settings
Step 3
Select Use Wi-Fi to enable
Step 4
Select the network and enter the password
The network should now show as Connected:
Notes
Android prioritizes the Ethernet (wired) connection, and will not connect to Wi-Fi if the Ethernet has been connected:
In the Notification bar, you will see the icon for Wired LAN connection. The Wi-Fi network status is Saved instead of Connected. These two indicators tell you that Android has prioritized the Ethernet connection.
TouchSteam can use either connection, but some external apps will only work with a Wi-Fi connection. For this purpose, a switch has been provided to force the device to use the Wi-Fi connection instead:
In the Network settings menu, touch Force Wi-Fi Connection to change the priority to Wi-Fi.
2. Wired Ethernet
The network will connect automatically if an Ethernet cable has been attached to the ThermaTouch. You can still use the Wi-Fi settings page to verify this connection:
