This tutorial will help connect the ThermaTouch to a Wifi or wired LAN network to provide an internet connection.
Wifi connection
Step 1:
Touch Settings icon then touch NETWORK:
Step 2:
Go to Wi-Fi Settings:
Step 3:
Android prioritizes the Ethernet (wired) connection, and will not connect to Wi-Fi if the Ethernet has been connected. TouchSteam can use either connection, but some third-party apps will only work with Wi-Fi connection. For this purpose, a switch has been provided to force the device to use Wi-Fi connection instead.
Look in the Notification bar at the upper right corner of screen to see if Ethernet is connected:
If you do NOT see this icon, then skip to Step 5
Step 4:
Touch the Back button:
Then touch Force Wi-Fi Connection:
Go to Wi-Fi Settings:
Step 5:
If not already on, turn on the Wi-Fi:
Step 6:
Select the network from the list:
Step 7:
Select Show password, type in your Password and touch Connect, then wait 15-30 seconds:
Step 8:
The network should show as Connected:
and the Wi-Fi icon should be shown in Notification bar at the upper right corner of screen:
Use the Back navigation button to return:
IP address
To view the IP address, touch Settings, then touch Network:
Go to Wi-Fi Settings:
Touch the three dots in upper right corner of screen:
Select Advanced:
Swipe up to view the IP address:
Touch the Back button several times to return:
Troubleshooting Wifi connection:
ThermaTouch was connected but lost internet connection
Touch Settings , then touch Network then Wi-Fi Settings. If your Wi-Fi network is saved, but not connected as shown below:
Touch the network SSID
Touch Connect
No networks are shown
Use another device to verify that the unit is within range of the Wi-Fi router. If the network shows up on another device, reboot the ThermaTouch:
If networks still are not shown, verify that the Wi-Fi antenna is connected to the back of the unit:
Wired LAN connection
The internet should connect automatically when a cable is connected to the jack on the back of the
ThermaTouch:
This concludes the setup. Use the following steps to verify the LAN connection:
Step 1:
To verify that it’s connected, touch Settings then touch Network:

Go to Wi-Fi Settings:
Verify that the Ethernet icon is shown in Notification bar at the upper right corner of screen:
Step 3:
Touch the Back navigation button several times to return:
Troubleshooting Wired LAN connection:
ThermaTouch has no internet connection
If the ThermaTouch does not connect to the wired home Ethernet, try connecting it through an Ethernet switch that is located near the ThermaTouch. Use a cable less than 1m long for the connection from switch to ThermaTouch.
