ThermaTouch - Updating firmware (ver 7.7)

This tutorial will help update a ThermaTouch to version 8.0.

These instructions require the ThermaTouch to be connected to the internet.

 

Step 1: Time screen

Slide the control

 

Step 2: User screen

Touch Settings

 

Step 3: Settings

Touch General

 

Step 4: Settings

Touch About

 

Step 5: Settings

Touch Check for updates

 

Step 6: Settings

If the screen above appears, touch Ok

Otherwise, go to Step 18

 

Step 7: Settings

Touch Setup

 

Step 8: Settings

Touch Scan

 

Step 9: Settings

Select the Wifi network

 

Step 10: Settings

Touch the box to bring up the on-screen keyboard

 

Step 11: Settings

Enter the password and touch Connect

 

Step 12: Settings

Arrow back to the Network screen

 

Step 13: Settings

Touch the Back arrow

 

Step 14: Settings

Touch General

 

Step 15: Settings

Touch About

 

Step 16: Settings

Touch Check for updates

 

Step 17: Settings

Touch Ok

 

Step 18: Settings

Touch Yes in the confirmation box

The update begins to download

The download process may take 20-40 minutes

 

Step 20: Settings

The Android Installing System Update screen will appear, and the unit will eventually restart.

Wait until the Time screen appears again. If the screen is black, touch once to see if it wakes up.

Slide the control

 

Step 22: Setup wizard

If the screen above appears, touch the Right arrow

Otherwise, go to Step 29

Return to Settings > General > About and check the Firmware version

The version should now be 8.0, as shown above
