Initial Setup for SWM-1 Solitude WiFi Module (Networked) with iPhone/iPad

• Make sure the SWM-1 Solitude Module is powered ON
• Make sure your iPhone/iPad WiFi is turned ON
• You maybe out of range. Move closer to the SWM-1unit if it's installed far from where you are
• If you attempted this setup before Reset your SWM-1 to Factory Setting
  
  • SWM 1.0 Factory Reset Instructions

1. Press HOME button on your iPhone/iPad
2. Locate Atomic Lite Browser and open it
3. In the address field type in 169.254.101.77 and click Go

 
4. Under username type in admin click Done

5. Click Submit

6. The ThermaSol Device Server Configuration Manager will load. 
Now click on Network

7. Click on and select "Use the following IP configuration

8. Remember this table?  Moving forward I will use data from the example below but you will need to enter your network specific information.  If you are not sure about it stop here and have your IT person help you.

PLEASE find out if your password is HEX or Passphrase

9. Enter IP Address in Network Range but outside DHCP Range (Item A in the table). Note this IP Address and keep for later installation procedure

10. Enter the Subnet Mask of your network (Item C)

11. Enter the Default Gateway of your Network (Item D)

12. DNS Server can be left at 0.0.0.0.  Please click OK.

13. Click on Server.

14. Create and retype the password for the SWM-1 Solitude Module.  Please write down this password and keep in a safe place.

15. Click on OK

16. Click on WLAN.

17. Enter the SSID of your Network.

18. Under Network Type click and select Infrastructure.

19. Under Wireless Network Security select the Security based on your Network (Item F)

20. Leave the default Encryption unchanged unless your Network uses a different one.  Modify it to match your network. (Item G)

*If you have AES encryption you can use CCMP from the list above.

21. Under Key Type select Hex or Passphrase depends on if your password (Item H) is in text or Hexadecimal format.
Type in the Passphrase or Hex key at the Key line and retype it below.

22. Leave the other fields default unless your network requires otherwise.  Click OK.

22. Click on Apply Settings.

23. Allow 30 seconds for the SWM-1 Solitude Module to restart.

Now that you have configured the SWM-1 Solitude Module we'll need to see if you followed all the steps correctly.  Let's test couple of things:

NOTE:
If the ThermaSol Device Server Configuration Manager doesn't open you will need to reset the SWM-1 unit and start again with the configuration.

One more thing we need to change and you are ready to use the ThermaSol App

Click on ThermaSol App  and you should see this screen:
